The pulp desander is a dedicated low-consistency centrifugal hydrocyclone unit, specially engineered to eliminate high-density heavy contaminants such as sand grains, metal filings and mineral particles from fiber stock.
In professional pulping lines, the pulp reject cleaner works in tandem with the pulp desander, while the light reject cleaner targets low-density floating pollutants, forming a complete graded cleaning system.
It covers a pulp consistency range of 0.4% to 2%, and the combined configuration of pulp reject cleaner and light reject cleaner ensures stable and continuous purification in pulp production.
This high-performance pulp desander adopts an integrated compact cone structure, with low power consumption, stable operating performance and high-efficiency contaminant separation capacity.
In coordinated operation with pulp reject cleaner and light reject cleaner, it thoroughly eliminates heavy impurities and lightweight floating contaminants, significantly reducing abrasive corrosion and mechanical wear of subsequent refining and papermaking equipment.
It effectively stabilizes fiber quality and upgrades finished paper physical indicators, widely applied in recycled pulp, chemical pulp and mechanical pulp production lines.
Working Principle of Pulp Desander
Under rated operating pressure, raw stock pulp tangentially enters the pulp desander and generates a high-speed centrifugal swirling flow inside the hydrocyclone cavity.
High-density heavy impurities are driven to the cone wall by strong centrifugal force, then settle downward along the tapered structure and finally discharged through the bottom reject outlet.
Meanwhile, the supporting light reject cleaner efficiently removes lightweight contaminants such as plastic fragments, foam and sticky matters.Qualified clean fiber pulp converges toward the central vortex core and is delivered out through the top accepts outlet for subsequent pulping processing.
