Paper sizing machine is a specialized equipment used in paper production to improve the water resistance and permeability of paper. It is divided into two categories: in pulp sizing machine and surface sizing machine. Among them, surface size machine is installed in the drying section of paper machine and is the mainstream application type.

working principle of size machine (take 2 rollers sizing machine as an example):
-Adhesive liquid in the groove is lifted up by the lower roller of size machine and forms a uniform liquid film in the nip zone of the two rollers
-Forming wet paper sheet (dryness of 60% -80%) passes through the nip zone of sizing press, and a layer of adhesive liquid is uniformly adsorbed on the surface;
-Paper enters the drying zone after sizing press, where the adhesive solidifies into a film, filling the gaps on the surface of paper and improving its surface strength and water resistance.

Typical usage scenarios of surface sizing machine
1. For cultural paper,using pulp and surface composite sizing machine, AKD is used to enhance water resistance in the pulp, and oxidized starch is used on paper surface to improve the printing suitability
2. For cardboard and corrugated paper, size machine are often used, using cationic starch and a small amount of ASA to improve the paper's durability and moisture resistance, making it suitable for high-speed paper machine.
3. For special paper,using a scraper type high-precision size machine to accurately control the thickness of the glue layer and meet special performance requirements.
