Function of pulp pressure screen in paper industry
Pressure screen is very important for pulp making and purification, and its core function is:
1. Fiber screening: Separate qualified pulp fibers from large impurities such as undecomposed wood chips and fiber bundles to ensure the uniformity of pulp
2. Remove impurities: Filter hard impurities such as metal shavings, sand and gravel, plastic particles, etc. in pulp
3. Pulp grading: Grade according to fiber length to meet the requirements of different paper, while maintaining stable pulp concentration and flow rate.

Working principle of pressure screen in paper industry
Based on "pressure difference+centrifugal force"
1. Pulp feed into pressure screen chamber from the side or bottom of the pressure screen at a pressure of 0.2-0.6MPa;
2. Rotor rotates at high speed (500-1500r/min), generating centrifugal force and negative pressure zone: pushing qualified fibers towards the surface of the pressure screen drum, entering the accept pulp zone inside the pressure screen drum through the screen holes (or slits); Simultaneously generate eddy currents to prevent clogging of the holes
3. Large impurities and coarse fiber bundles that have not passed through pressure screen holes are discharged from the slag discharge outlet at the bottom of the pressure screen under the action of gravity and centrifugal force(slag discharge rate is 1% -5%)
4. The qualified pulp is transported to headbox .

Pressure screen in paper industry is a closed cylindrical shape, includ 7 parts:
1. Pulp pressure screen body
-Material: Carbon steel or stainless steel, pressure bearing 0.8-1.0MPa
-Function: Seal pulp, bearing pressure, with feed inlet, accept pulp outlet, and reject pulp outlet.
2. Pulp pressure screen drum (filtering component)
-Material: 304/316L stainless steel, alloy
-Specification: pressure screen hole diameter 0.8-3.0mm or slit width 0.15-0.5mm, screening area 0.3-6.4 ㎡.
3. Rotor of pulp pressure screen in paper industry
-Composed of shaft sleeves and blades (3-8 pieces), with a gap of 0.5-2.0mm between the blades and the inner surface of the pressure screen drum
-Function: High speed rotation generates centrifugal force and eddy currents, driving the flow of pulp
4. Transmission system of pressure screen in paper industry
-Including motors, couplings, reducers, and drive shafts
5. Bearings and sealing devices
-Bearing equipped with lubrication and cooling systems

2. Pressure screen drum is conical in shape, and rotor is parallel to the conical surface of the screen drum
